Mixed feelings..

"First of all, I want to say that we really did enjoy our vacation at the Kingston Plantation. However, there were some frustrations. One: upon arrival, I could not immediately locate the towels, so I called one of the agents. She described that they would be located under the sinks. So, I went to each bathroom and noticed each one had two towels. The problem is that we had 8 people with 6 towels. Agent said, no problem, we will get you more. This was on Saturday. In the meantime, my daughter happened to bring a bunch, so we were set and let it go. Two, by Tuesday, we still never did get more towels and were running out of toilet paper and dishwasher soap. So, I called another one of the agents, on our paper, to let them know, we still needed more towels and now also toilet paper, dishwasher soap and had light bulbs burned out. None were brought and no call back. On Wednesday, I tried calling housekeeping several times on the house phone, it was forwarded to room service that had a voicemail. No response from them either. I finally dialed "0" and got a very kind gentleman that put an order in with housekeeping. Finally, I got towels, TP and dishwasher soap. Not once, did we see housekeeping. Last time we stayed we had housekeeping several times for a quick vacuum, fresh towels and freshened up restrooms and were available to get supplies each day. I was in the understanding that it should have been like that this time too. NO WHERE did it say anything to the contrary and there was no instructions on how to easily get supplies when needed. I was very disappointed and frustrated. When you pay 7K to stay some where there are some minimal expectations of care. We got none. The condo itself was nice. Clean and well equipped minus the towel issue and the beds were ridiculously soft. Not sure if they were cheap mattresses or someone thought ultra soft ones were a good idea. Any time either of us moved, it felt like we would get catapulted off our side of the bed.

Housekeeping service is provided after departure only, and a departure cleaning fee is disclosed prior to arrival and listed on the reservation folio. Additionally, we provide a starter supply of items such as toilet paper and dishwasher detergent, with replenishment being the guest's responsibility during the stay. These details are outlined in our pre-arrival communications and rental agreement. Iffy WiFi, Stiffy Sheets, But Overall Good Family Accomodations

"We stayed at 207 Margate with a group of 6 adults and 2 kids and overall had a very enjoyable stay.
The positives were excellent: The condo was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The layout and space were ideal for our large group — plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the common areas worked great for family time.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of significant issues. The beds were our biggest disappointment. All of the mattresses were quite soft (I’d rate them a C at best), and the sheets were so stiff and crisp that my mother-in-law described sleeping on them as “sleeping in potato chips.”
The internet was also very frustrating. The router provided only intermittent connectivity throughout our stay. This made it nearly impossible to stream shows for the kids or enjoy a family movie night, despite our best efforts. There was virtually no cell reception inside the condo, so we couldn’t easily hotspot. Staff came by to check the router but didn’t schedule a replacement until the day of our departure. The property managers also did not offer any kind of compensation for the inconvenience or for not having something we paid for.
We really wanted to love this place because of the cleanliness, space, and equipment, but the bed comfort and unreliable internet made it harder than it needed to be. With upgrades to the mattresses, softer sheets, and reliable Wi-Fi, this would be an outstanding rental.

"Off Season Bliss"

"Even though it's winter, and at times a little cold...
It's always a pleasure to see, this beautiful site we behold. Standing there at the edge, of a beach that's smooth and alive...When we look at the Margate tower we know we have arrived.

Clean, quiet, and inviting, No frills, no rancor, no commotion... Its just you as you relax and listen to the sound of the ocean.

For four years in a row...We've had this paradise look. Much more than cam be seen on TV or read in a book.

Our suggestion to you is simple...Just try it and you'll definitely say this..."I have found a place like no other"...nothing compares to 'Off Season Bliss'".

We really enjoyed your assistance in helping us to have a wonderful vacation. Kudos to the staff at guest services. Everyone is so nice and helpful...see you next winter.

Good location and place but not flexible owners

"The place was good with beach and ocean and pool views. Clean floors.

Furniture and carpets are very old, not kid friendly.

Owners were not flexible when asked for a late check out for an extra 02 hours, we got blunt reply as no. This is a common practice across industry when checking out, you will always need that extra 1-2 hours, instead of rushing.

"Needed to take a vacation badly! This place is just what the Dr. ordered! Located on second floor never once had to wait long for elevator place was exceptionally clean all over! Everything worked fine and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Me my wife and Mother and Father in Law and Son all enjoyed our little get away! Thanks to this place it was a million times better than what we had hoped for! Hope to rent again next year or maybe even this fall!! Outstanding staff in everything! Front Desk, Cleaning,etc.....

Myrtle Beach, Still a Grteat Value

"As vacation rentals go, the old idiom is true..."You get what you pay for". We have vacationed many times in Myrtle Beach in the past. We were the ones looking for the best value by renting lower priced properties in the higher congested areas. That's ok if that meets your needs. Myrtle Beach is a good bet no matter where you stay. But we must truly say that staying at Kingston Resorts Margate Towers, was one of the best vacations EVER! My wife loves the quality and attention to detail that Kingston Resorts displays on their properties. The staff and personnel are very friendly and accommodating. In short, do consider booking with Kingston resorts. Courtney, Rachelle and others make the booking and scheduling experience pleasant and timely. You will not be disappointed. Margate Towers is now our new "Home away from Home"...thanks...Terrence & Rebecca Reyes.

"The condo was very spacious, exactly like the photos. We enjoyed having a bedroom for each adult, and plenty of comfortable seating. My elderly mom enjoyed having a recliner to relax in. The beds were comfortable and nicely made. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were enough paper products, dw liquid, soap, etc. for our stay. The condo was well prepared for us and easy to access. We loved the resort, especially the boardwalk beside the beach. Kingston resort is very well maintained. The younger members of our family loved the indoor splash pad and pool, and the adults loved the ocean front balcony and the beach. Security was second to none, with 24 hour monitoring and the gated entrance. We felt safe and secure. Even though we were near the pools, it was very quiet, and we were able to rest well at night. Overall, it was a beautiful accommodation, with friendly staff, in a peaceful, tropical resort setting. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. This is the best vrbo we have ever stayed in, and we would love to come again.

"We stayed 6 wks at this condo and it has been one of the best rentals we had so far. It was close to everything, we attended 4 shows, lots of golf nearby, Kingston plantation is so very well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed and the ocean a few steps away for our daily walks on the beach. Would definitely return if available and affordable.thank you.
